If we can’t travel, we can always dream to do it, or let us being entertained from fantastic travel adventures! Literature is full of masterpieces, like Moby Dick, 20,000 leagues under the sea, Around the world in 80 days, just to name the most famous. But kids fantasy can be stimulated in thousand different ways! Here you can find some of the best travel book currently on the market. I don’t need to tell you why reading is so good for everybody, if it’s travel reading it is even better!

PLAN YOUR NEXT FAMILY TRIP

Don’t use Google maps, it’s not fair! Let’s use the old nice paper atlas, ask your kids to open it and point a place on the map. Where is it? What’s the name?  Can they make an itinerary from one place to another? Plan a possible journey? This activity can keep them busy for hours! If they point Europe, it’s my home! I can’t wait to bring you visiting Rome, Pompeii, Marseille, Barcelona… it will be soooo fun!

LEARN NEW GAMES OR HOBBIES

Want to teach kids to play an instrument? This could be the right time! One of the best activities to do with kids at home is playing some good music. If not, world is full of hobbies. Photography? Painting? Making origami? Science?  Felting? Comic book art? I can go on and on, find some inspo here!

When you’re done with playing, it’s time to learn something! Documentaries and cultural programs always worth watching and now we are plenty of time to invest a bit of our time for this.

RE-ORGANIZING HOME LIKE MARIE KONDO

If your kids are big enough to be helpful at home, set up and redecorate the house with them! You will be surprised of how many useful ideas they can have and finally you will throw away all that clothes you don’t use anymore, like Marie Kondo would do. Good luck!
