A BIKE RIDE WITH KIDS

Copenhagen, as you may know, is made for bikes. It is a real pleasure strolling through the streets and the channel and enjoying the city. There are several places where you can rent bikes and family bikes. Biking here it is a serious matter! Every street includes road markings for bike and children learn how to ride properly since the first time they use a bike. Do you know that there are bike playgrounds where they can learn? From 1947, Denmark established the cycling education, with lessons and an exam to do at the end.

WHERE TO RIDE WITH YOUR BIKE

In the city, of course! But, since it is summer, let’s go on the beach! One of the best spots for a bike ride is Amager beach park, a beatiful nordic beach where you can have a great relaxing time swimming and cycling. From the beach you can see windmills and the Øresund bridge too. Speaking of windmills, another great spot is Kastellet, one of the most well-preserved fortress of whole Europe. There is a famous windmill here and you are also just few minutes away from the Little Mermaid statue. Looking for nature? Take a ride to Jægersborg Deer Park, with its beautiful trees and deers! It includes the oldest amusement park, Bakken, and many nice restaurants for a lunch break. If you prefer to stay in the city, Frederiksberg Garden is one of the most beautiful parks in town! A green area away from traffic jam where kids can ride free: it is perfect if you want to plan a pic-nic for lunch too. Inside the park, Friedeiksberg Palace (from the 17th century) will astonish you, lost between the green and the water channels.

A TASTY FOOD BREAK

After a day spent on a bike, kids deserve a great food break! Try with Copenhagen Markets! Torvehallerne, WestMarket are just some of the best market in town. Kids will enjoy some good smørrebrø(open sandwiches), with smør og øst (butter and cheese) or a tasty  boller (bun). Try and enjoy!
