It’s also very convenient to get there by public transports, as there is a train that stops at about one kilometer from the villa and gives you the chance to explore daily life in this delicious town.

If you like castles, that’s the place to go! Orsini – Odescalchi is an amazing Medieval castle overlooking one of the most fascinating lakes in Italy: Lake Bracciano. It is also one of the best-maintained ones and, for this reason, it’s been the setting for several celebrity weddings. The perfect place to enjoy medieval splendors and have a picnic with the sound of water in the background. How to reach them? Quite easy! There is a train that in less than one hour can bring you from the center of Rome to Bracciano.

CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO – BAGNOREGIO (VT)

In a time when everybody wants to move the city center, the best thing you can do is to escape to this fascinating medieval hamlet, where life seems to have stopped to centuries ago. Called the “dying town” for its extremely low number of inhabitants (about 10!), it’s considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Although there is a bus that stops at walking distance from Civita di Bagnoregio, hiring a car is considered the best option to get here. Is the place worth it? Absolutely YES!

PARCO DI VEIO – ROMA

If a mix of nature and archaeology is what you are looking for, you can’t miss Veio Park.
