NO.1: A GIRL IS CRYING!

This is a very recent one, form 1987. It came out after a fire at King’s Cross Station on November 18: the flames spread and many people were trapped underground, 31 of them were killed. After this accident, a girl was spotted around the station, crying inconsolably: she was wearing jeans and t-shirt and had long brow air. Every person who saw her said she suddendly disappeared into the crowd everytime someone tried to comfort her. Some people still hear her crying on the empty platform and feel smoke curling out from the escalator. Be careful when you visit King’s cross station!

NO.2: THE FAMOUS RAVENS

One of the symbols of London is its famous Tower. During the centuries, it has been protagonist of many cruel events and so many legends surround its walls. One of the London legends kids will love is about its ravens. It is really simple : if ravens fly away from the tower, the crown will fall and all England with it! Authorities seems to believe in the legend, as  since the late 19th century there have been captive ravens kept at the tower, just in case the free ones decide it’s time to go.

LEGEND NO. 5: NO ROADS IN LONDON!

This is quite fun, isn’t it? London has no roads, so where do buses, cars and people walk on? The truth is most of the streets in the city were named before the word ‘road’ entered the English language, so when you walk with your kids in London you will meet alleys, streets and squares, but not roads apparently. It could be a nice hunt to do with kids, right?
