Once kids will learn everything about dragons, legends and Gaudì genius, take you skis and go to the mountains! As you may know, Barcelona is not far away from the Pyrenees, so get ready to enjoy a full weekend of culture and sport.

SKIING IN BARCELONA WITH KIDS: BAQUEIRA-BERET
This is the biggest ski resort near Barcelona and in the Pyrenees area.
Baqueira is also a fashionable location, sometimes I feel very ‘posh’ and I like to go there, drinking orange juice and enjoy the sun and the snow! Also the Spanish Royals like to come here, I’ve met the Prince sooo many times!
This beautiful place is located in the north western corner of Catalunya: its altitude is perfect, with a great view on Val d’Aran, the only Atlantic facing valley of the Pyrenees.
33 lifts and 120 km speed, Baqueira is perfect for experts and beginners.
There are 3 children parks on the snow and an ‘escuela’ to learn the basics!
When you check for accommodation, be sure it is beside the ski-lifts, otherwise you will need a car to reach the ski slope.
SKIING IN BARCELONA WITH KIDS: MASELLA AND LA MOLINA
This is the most popular ski place for a one day trip on the snow from Barcelona.
About 1,5 hours away from the city, you can reach both the locations by car, by ski train or ski bus.
Masella is ideal for kids from 3 to 6 who want to learn how to ski, there is also a nursery for babies from 18 months to 3 years old!
La Molina is the oldest ski resort in Spain, the first ski-lift was installed in 1943.
It is basically a station, not a proper resort, so there are no shops, but it definitely worth a visit for a day trip. It is the right place if your kids and you are good snowboarders, it is great for jumps!
SKIING IN BARCELONA WITH KIDS: GRANDVALIRA
If you have time and want to enjoy some days outside Barcelona, try with Grandvalira, Andorra. It is the largest ski place in the area and it’s formed by 6 villages. Grandvalira loves children: there are some routes dedicated to them, where kids can have fun in a safe environment. Circuits are free for children up to 12 years old.
