Pippi Longstocking, one of children’s favorite book, movie and cartoon character, was born in Stockholm! 4. WORLD’S LONGEST ART GALLERY

Where is the world’s longest art gallery? Within Stockholm’s subway! You can’t believe it? Then, come and visit Stockholm, you will find out that the majority of the stations are adorned with astonishing mosaics, paintings and sculptures. In 2009 even the staircases in Odenplan metro station were turned into a piece of art: a giant piano keyboard you could play by stepping it!

5. WORLD’S SMALLEST BIG CITY

Stockholm is known as the “World’s Smallest Big City”, because, although it is considered a city, its dimensions are much smaller than most cities in the world. It is in fact a great city to visit on foot, especially if you have a curious and super friendly mole like me as a guide!
