It’s a great moment for eBooks for children, they are shaping a new way to learn. Follow Tapsy!
It seems like eBooks for children are good for family health! In this very strange period, many families experimented – even for the first time – the use of eBooks for children, instead of paper books. Why? Many reasons. eBooks can be downloaded in a second but you have to wait a lot to get the paper book you bought online; they cost less than paper, which counts in this moment of economy difficult; eBooks can be interactive and stimulating the learning approach for both kids and adults, which is good for their capacity to stay smart even if they are stuck home from weeks.
The website Naeyc.org analyzed a “Future of Children review of research on e-books for children and literacy summarized more than a dozen experimental studies with evidence that e-reading technology has “real promise” in assisting young children in learning to read. In one study, for example, e-books led to improved phonemic awareness and print-concept awareness among preschoolers—especially those with learning disabilities. Another study , discussed in the next section, even showed a net positive for parents and the way they interact with their children when reading e-books together.”
SO, WHY TO BUY eBOOKS FOR CHILDREN?
I love paper books, I really do. I have spent years creating and printing books children could use before, during and after a family journey. Paper is fantastic, having a book in your hands, touch it, consume it, bring it physically with you when traveling is an amazing sensation that lasts way beyond the journey itself. However, nothing like this very bad period of Coronavirus spreading is teaching us a lot about how to use technology properly.
To live better, to resist, to stay connected to the world outside. To not lose the sense of what is going on out there. eBooks for children are helping a lot now, because they represent one of the easiest way to keep their mind going on, stay curious, making questions about the world. Being stuck home and having no idea of when the world will be safe again can be stressing, for both adults and kids, so it is important to train our brain constantly and get ready for tomorrow!
