In these difficult times, I want to keep thinking positive! You know, smart brains love problems and Coronavirus outbreak can be a great travel lesson for everybody. Why? Because it is teaching us a lot about what matters and how to be more responsible and taking care about us and people around us.

A TRAVEL LESSON FROM THE DAILY LIFE

Let’s start with the small things: since many of us are locked home these days (speaking of, read my article about the activities to do at home with kids!) , we are spending a lot of time with people we love. Sometimes we argue, sometimes we like to do things together. For sure, we are learning the value of our daily life and this could be a great travel lesson, as when we finally start to travel again, we will appreciate a lot the world outside the door of our house and don’t take it for granted.

TRAVEL LESSON ABOUT HEALTHY BEHAVIOR

We all know that, when we travel, we don’t have always much time to be careful about what we are eating, if we washed hands correctly, if we respected some health rules. It can happens. What would not happens anymore after Coronavirus spread is a lack of informations and behaviors about how to be responsible in this way. Stay safe, wash hands, take care of people around you, always!

A TRAVEL LESSON ABOUT HOW TO TRAVEL SLOW

As we are moving slow, thinking slow, eating slow and enjoying all the little pleasures of home staying, when we will travel again we could be more interested in a slow holiday. This could be such a good news for kids, because they don’t love to rush from one place to another and can grow up appreciating the pleasure of every moment, while traveling. This is a travel lesson we should not forget to see the world in a different way.

Sometimes we have been distracted travelers, so busy taking our selfies or lost in useless conversations while a beautiful landscape passes by. Some other times, we just think we can do what we want just because we are in a foreign country. Respecting  local rules, habits and traditions is a very kind gesture that every parent should teach to kids, travelers of tomorrow. Staying home these days can teach us a lot about respecting each other!

We are locked with a kitchen, is this the right time to learn cooking some exotic dish? Why not! We have all the time we want to experiment with kids about local recipes and that cake we always wanted to taste. Few times in the World recent history we had so much time to spend for ourselves and people we care about. Since the rhythm of the planet seems to be slowed down, we are all learning an important travel lesson. It can be from home to work, from home to school, from a station to another, from a country to another, we are learning a lot about the value of time and how to use it good. Enjoy the journey,  take your time with kids, look around. Traveling will be a much more better experience!
